Profile

Laboratory Name: Thermal Engineering Laboratory BGB0305

Field: Thermal-Fluid Machinery and Energy Technology

  Purpose:

Thermal engineering explores the fundamental theories of thermal machinery. Knowledge related to heat transfer, refrigeration and air conditioning, thermocouples, and oil viscosity all rely on thermal engineering principles.

The purpose of establishing this laboratory is to apply fundamental thermal-fluid theories, cultivate students’ experimental skills in thermal engineering, and encourage students to think critically about thermal-fluid phenomena. Through this process, students can gain a deeper and more concrete understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of the thermal engineering field.

This laboratory supports the following courses: Thermal Engineering Laboratory and Thermal Machinery Engineering Experiments.

  Objectives:

1. Enable students to understand the fundamental principles of thermal engineering.

2. Provide hands-on experimental opportunities through laboratory equipment to enhance learning effectiveness.

  Equipment:

1. Absorption refrigeration training system.          5. Thermal reaction rate measurement module.

2. Automotive air-conditioning experimental platform.           6. Thermal resistance and maximum heat transfer measurement module.

3. Automotive air-conditioning experimental platform.           7. Heat pump.

4. Computer signal measurement unit.           8. Heat conduction experiment.
